In the spirit of all things Physics related ;), here is my MCAT lesson of the day.
Alpha decay- the emmision of a Helium nucleus consisting of 2 protons and 2 neutrons by an element. The new daughter element will have an atomic number 2 less than than the parent and a mass number of 4 less than the parent element.
